Lack of higher education awareness and pursuit.
1.9 million, or 51% of Indonesian high school graduates, do not proceed to higher education. One of the root causes of poverty is deprivation in one's education (Rochester Business Journal, 2015)
Lack of fair opportunities, encouragement, and support for women's education.
Women are more likely to drop out of school than men (Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning, 2017). Annually, 231,011 Indonesian women drop out of university due to early marriage, lack of funds, or to financially support their families by working (Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology).
Gender inequality in the workplace.
84% of Indonesian men are in the labour force, while only 56% of women occupy the same position (International Labour Organization, 2021).

Our Social Outreach Program, Fempathy, aims to break the poverty cycle through knowledge enrichment and broadening perspectives by prioritizing one’s education. We focus on empowering young girls and women in lower socio-economic areas in Indonesia through our flagship program, the Fempathy Scholarship, and entrepreneurial seminars.

WE HELP
Education endorsement through scholarships
We centralized our movements in 2023 on education, aligned with our aim to provide the future generation of women an opportunity to flee poverty through higher education. We strive to provide accessible resources for women to gain insights and knowledge for them to achieve their dreams and fulfil their resolutions in 2023. We’ve successfully awarded 1 scholarship in 2022 and plan to award more this year.

In an effort to support our scholarship program’s focus on professional development, we provided classes that aim to support our community’s personal development through topics like self-love and growth.

Our marketing seminar series focused on empowering working mothers to grow and sustain their MSMEs with marketing coaching and business strategy development workshops.
